Our Autumn display is ready for its closeup, and it’s beary cute!
Each year, many local businesses enter a friendly competition by the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce to compete for the best fall display. Businesses are given a list of items to incorporate into their display, and the result is a pumpkin-spiced Smoky Mountain town ready to welcome thousands of autumn guests!
I say “friendly” competition, but I’ve gotta say… Mom can get a bit competitive this time of year. ha! She loves decorating, so adding the competition really gets the wheels turning. This past month, this huge wicker bear greeted many of us in the back office. And by greeted, I mean scared-to-death those of us who weren’t expecting a 7′ bear in the mail room. I gotta say though- he’s very cute as an outdoor “Smokey the Bear.” Remember, “Only you can prevent wildfires!”
And that gigantic bear was the inspiration behind all the bear-crows in this year’s display. I feel like this group should be called the Pumpkin-Dumplin’ Gang. Perfect spot for a photo-op!

Such a cute Goldilocks! I’m going to have to post an Instagram story about this TV… great to see it looking good on the lawn!
This little cabin… Can you believe Dad and crew built it for a local Christmas parade? When my cousins, siblings, and I were much, much smaller, this cabin was on the back of a truck, and we were piled inside throwing candy out the windows- Good times!
If you’re out enjoying the display, the only thing we ask is please use extra caution-especially with children! This display sits on Apple Valley Road, and we ask you to stay off the road. There is a rough stone path that leads from our office parking area behind the sign and over to the grassy area. Please use common sense and explore at your own risk!
