Our Story
Almost 40 years ago, our founders Butch and Brenda Smith had a vision—a peaceful escape for families and guests to reconnect and hide away from the busyness and stresses of life in a mountain cabin. And, they knew the perfect place for it. Just minutes from the majestic Great Smoky Mountain National Park, they began the sanctuary that is now known as Hidden Mountain Resort.
With a lot of hard work and prayer, the resort has grown immensely and is now a premier destination for thousands of guests each year, from all over the globe. With a variety of log cabins, farmhouse cottages, mountaintop villas, high end motorcoach sites, event venues and top notch amenities, the resort offers world weary travelers a quiet, authentic Smoky Mountain experience, tailored for rest and refreshment.
The Smith family still owns and operates Hidden Mountain Resort, along with a team of friends and extended family. In carrying on their legacy, they have a heart-dedication to making everyone feel at home and part of the family.
Amenities
Hidden Mountain Resort has 2 locations in Sevierville, TN, Hidden Mountain East and Hidden Mountain West.
Hidden Mountain East provides 1-14 bedroom Log Cabins, Cottages, and Villas, as well as The Dell, a Class A Motor Coach Resort. An attentive, onsite office and on-call maintenance staff are available as well. Amenities at Hidden Mountain East include seasonal swimming pools, picnic pavilions, gazebos, and fishing ponds. All of these can provide gorgeous settings for your photos.
Our wedding venues and amenities are located at Hidden Mountain East, which offer stunning mountain vista views, tranquil prayer gardens, and a wide range of gorgeous reception options.
For day adventures, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts can find the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park just 10 miles down the parkway. For the best in shows, dining, amusement parks, and shopping—we are right in the middle of the action. We are less than 5 minutes from Tanger Outlets at Five Oaks and only ½ mile from The Apple Barn & Cider Mill. Guests can enjoy a plethora of amazing East Tennessee activities just outside the door! We’re located in Sevierville, TN and only minutes from everything Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have to offer, but a world away from the stresses of life.
